This is a curated list of articles, seeds, photo/video posts and comments for the past two weeks. The series will combine the use of Newsvine's "thumbs up" as well as the minds of the Newsvine team. As always, meta articles about the proper use of the site will be ignored for this feature. Those tend to get both the most upvotes, as well as the most flags.
You missed a busy week. It's time to catch up.

Vlad's Dog writes "Why I am not worried about the Democratic Party."
Third, it is not smart to wank off constantly about crazy Christians, ammosexuals, the cause of the Civil War or who loves woman more. That is the basis of this whole god damn division. Smart means using less divisional name calling and finding more common causes. The economy, jobs, the cost of higher education, opportunity for growth can be something we all can talk about as adults.
iqbal.latif writes "Mankinds greatest wealth is construction of positive thought"
Words matter, many billionaires are sleeping in graveyards as they left nothing behind - mankind's greatest wealth is construction of positive thought as it does wonders. Soothing and healing thoughts that may change the horizons. Let's create wealth of ideas and words. Amen

Citizen Kane-473667 to me on last week's Best Of
...might I suggest you take the time to actively seek out and encourage differing opinions by highlighting those who base their debate in facts rather than ideology? Here is a shocker for many here: If someone responds to a comment I made with facts and logicrather than emotion and partisan dribble, I vote their comment up even if I don't agree with them; simply as an acknowledgement of their efforts at a well-informed rebuttal. Sometimes I will tell them I did that, but usually I don't. I do it to encourage those who reply to fact-check their positions rather than just repeat snark and partisan BS.
Quote of the Week: Sometimes, in order to see the light, you have to risk the dark. - Dr. Hineman, Minority Report
