This is a curated list of articles, seeds, photo/video posts and comments for the past two weeks. The series will combine the use of Newsvine's "thumbs up" as well as the minds of the Newsvine team. As always, meta articles about the proper use of the site will be ignored for this feature.
You missed a busy week. It's time to catch up.

To some, this site is a playground, it is for me too, but for me it's a place of habit like a home or a neighborhood tavern, new people come and go, brawlers that were bounced trying to get back in. People you become familiar with and they grow on you... For all of that it has become a nice place for me.
This may be nothing...I will probably be back on here like it was a scraped knee and the bruise is gone......BUT. Just in case....I love you folks.
I'll know Monday when I'm taking my trip.

Today, I will share my latest travels. I started out in Zurich, then off to Nice. After Nice, we had a few days in Santorini, which was so beautiful. The people were wonderfully attentive and accommodating. Knowing that Summer is ending in Germany, I couldn't wait to grab a few rays at Kamari Beach, with its black sand beaches and amazing scenery. There were cliffs off to my right, with the most adventurous jumpers, diving and climbing back up to repeat.
Vlad's Dog writes "I pity the angry religious follower"
Faith is not a tool to use against others, it is a personal gift to use to elevate ones self above all the trials and tribulations in their lives. Followers of religion can not elevate others or society if they are down in the shadows of hate and anger. Life is what we all make of it and demanding others follow a faith using hate, anger and violence will not gain anything at all. We all lose in the end.

Obama did bring in economists on a panel to make their recommendations for a recovery. What the panel was citing is the very obvious track record of austerity programs contracting economies. That was indeed the lesson from the 2008 recession. Countries with austerity program invariably contracted their economies and struggled with recovery. So the path taken by America became stimulus. That seems to have been enough to keep us from sliding into the Second Great Depression. So the BUSH recession would have gotten must worse without Obama and his panel of economists.
