This is a curated list of articles, seeds, photo/video posts and comments for the past two weeks. The series will combine the use of Newsvine's "thumbs up" as well as the minds of the Newsvine team. As always, meta articles about the proper use of the site will be ignored for this feature.
I missed a busy week due to a vacation with my wife. Here's two weeks worth of best of, but a little light on the older stuff.
It's time to catch up.

Soph0571 writes Protesting Terror
Every time we demand that Muslims spy on and inform on those in their own communities because of few terrorist extremist nuts we should demand the same of the NRA on their membership, right? And from every gun seller in America, right? After all, if those around the extremists are not willing to do EVERYTHING in power to stop the extremist terrorists in their midst are they not practically terrorists themselves?
jumpshotjarrod writes When the Veil of "Religious Liberty" Hides the Face of Religious Tyranny
Thus, know this: if you find yourself arguing on behalf of religious freedom, ask yourself if you'd argue the same point in a situation where the plaintiff adhered to a religion you despised. And if you find yourself arguing on behalf of religious freedom and find yourself appealing to the will of majority, ask yourself why you must turn to a textbook logical fallacy to make your argument. If you answer those two questions honestly, you just might find the pile of sand your argument stands on eroding beneath your feet.
JenCelli writes My Name is Mayhem
Resting well and doing nothing is something that I try to do as often as possible on the weekend. It’s necessary when I’m attempting to dissect issues and understand the load of incredible circumstances that inevitably wind up in my personal baggage. Honestly, I should buy better quality luggage trunks to haul this @!$%# around in. The only reason I don’t is simple; I have endless hope that cheap luggage will keep me from carrying too much by mere virtue of the fact that it can’t handle the load. How wrong I am. Even cheap luggage, bulging at the rivets, will contain twice its capacity of necessary @!$%# if you pack it right. Apparently, I’ve mastered the art of packing so that even the tiniest of corners and the smallest of spaces can really achieve maximum capability. I am not exaggerating either.
